Walking and learning

Right after the breakfast with typical Chinese food we cleared the room, put everything in the car and walked out for a small trail in the park.

The park offers a wide range of paths and we start in one of the more quite regions.

Besides some man made hot spots, e.g. an artificial climbing forest, there are a few natural tourist spots too.

A 2800 year old pine is one of the first attraction points we meet on our hour lasting walk. The tree does not look very healthy. We only can find a few green leaves. The rest of the tree seems to be already dead.

Skywalk und the old tree

It gets more interssting when we reach the so called Skywalk. High above the ground in a about 20 meter hights a steel made walk leads through the top of the trees.

A little bit shivering and shaking due to all the people walking on the sky walk but very ineressting to catch an unknown sight of the trees. That's realy something.

Lunch

It is getting late for a lunch break. And it takes some while to get to the restaurant site which is located near the entrance of the park. Once there it does not take a minute to finde a suitable small restaurant with big wooden tables and seats. Just as it has to be when you're out in the mountain forest.

Again our host takes the lead ordering the food. We still can not read the menue.

I'm very suprised as I receive a piece of bambo on my table. The secrete is hidden inside. It needs some effort to open the bambo. Inside I find my rice. It is boiled inside the bambo. Raffiniert!

Late in the afternoon we reach our next spot. We've broken the schedule once again. But anyway, is there realy a fixed schedule?

Though only a few kilometer line of sight away we have to go a long way. There is no road from one valley to the other so we have to go down to the flat land and surround the hills.

On arrival wie find a very detailed and with lot of passion reconstructed traditional Taiwanese farm. There are only a few rooms. We get the most beatifull of them. Or better to say an appartment: two rooms and a hugh bath room.

Mr. Pan, the guard, explains with lot of passion and fluently speaking english how comes.

As a hobby a rich merchand who's passion is architecture reconstructs this house after retiring fullfilling his live dream.

The garden which is also very beatifully styled invites us to have a photo shooting.

Even in the dark we find a lot of motives to take pictures. Still a lot of space on the memory card. Again fog covers the scenery in a special light.

We decide to go up very early again next morning. Before sunrise we want to start exploring a spectacular gorge nearby.
