2. Stage: Kenting

Nightmarket

On the very same evening we went to the famous Kenting nightmarket. About 2 kilometers alongside the main street a lot of stands one by the other. Eating, drinking, playing and buying - whatever you what.

The idea is to eat a little bit here and there, drink something or win a price somewhere in a both. You can find nearly everything: from sweets to sea food. A lot of garlic everywhere. The very differnt smells all arround is somehow amazing and strange.

We get invited into an Italian restaurant to keep in touch with the European cuisine. And indeed, it tastes like real Italien Pizza.

After two hours the hustle is too much for us after those two days with nearly no sleep. We fall asleep early in the evening. Not knowing the challenge waiting for us next morning.

Beach is next in the morning. First of all we have to see how Taiwanese beach live is all about.

It seems to be different to what we know in Europ. Sitting under the umbrella and standing in the water from time to time. It´s not allowed to swim. As soon as we move too deep into the water the gaurd comes nearby and gets you out of the water.

Maybe this makes sense. The waves are quite high. Sometimes as high as two meters - surfing would be great. But we never learned that.

Fun on the Beach

Another attraction is the "horrible" dona. Sitting on a floating tire a kind of water scouter moves you over the sea in an amaziing speed. It takes only 10 minutes - half an eternity I belive.

After standing on firm ground again my knees and arms are shivering. Really tuff to stay on the donat...

First Breakfast

The hotel we stayed the night is quite small but beautiful. There is not much to talk with the hosts - good luck because no one speaks english. Breakfast is served outside in the garden. A few Taiwanese people are staying too in the hotel.

And this is where we notice the "Taiwanese Playlist" the first time. It seems music is everywhere. Somehow different than we´re used to. And no matter where you are - 90% of the songs seems to be identical. Different country - different habits.
